Ponderosa ES Policies

Parents/guardians must contact the school office whenever their child is absent.

Call the school office at 650-877-8825 or e-mail with the following information:

• Caller’s name and relationship to student
• Student’s full name
• Date(s) of absence
• Reason(s) for absence

Excusable absences include: 

• Illness
• Medical/dental appointment
• Death or funeral of an immediate family member.

Parents/guardians may clear excused absences by providing the school office with a signed note within 72 hours of the absence that includes the current date, the student’s name, and the exact days he/she was absent.

   

 Dress Code

Students are required to wear Ponderosa's uniform at all times. 

Uniform Requirements

Shirts:

• Plain white, navy or maroon polo or Peter Pan collared shirts

Pants:          

• Navy blue or khaki pants

Shorts/Skirts:         

• Navy blue or khaki, knee length

Dresses (optional):

• Navy and green plaid jumper

Footwear:     

• Safe and durable shoes are a necessary part of the school uniform/clothing. 
• They need to fit properly, be comfortable, offer protection from rough surfaces, moisture, and give good support  
• Shoes with roller inserts, “heel wheels” are not allowed for safety reasons

Simply Uniforms is the PTA-recommended vendor.  Uniforms can also be purchased in the uniform department of many retail stores.
